2009 Stone Award of Honor Winner
Constructed over 100 years ago, St. Paul Church decided to renovate and install a new baptistery. After several meetings with the design team, White Alabama marble was chosen for its soft color. The challenge was to carve the marble to match the profile of the original plaster columns. After getting input from large automated fabrication facilities in America and Europe, Martina Brothers saved the owner time and money by hand fabricating and engraving the marble columns and font. Now, as soon as you walk into the church, you are met by a beautiful white hand carved baptismal font.
